What is the operating system of the client machines to integrate ?
I think the best thing is to create a program or a script :
- Run this script on the client machine that generates an OCS Inventory XML file by integrating the information you need
or
- Run this script with questions that will personalize the XML file
Thus, you can integrate the relevant information through the local import function of OCS reports.

There is a way to create a complete list of peripherals and computers.
That's what you need in my company where I work. They have thought about investing in some software, the image is how we carry the inventory. A single list of computers and peripherals. Is there a way to show a single list?
this is other error . I can´t upload files in ocs or xml in ocs WEB . Using the injector script works for me. but when I want to use the scrip to upload in xml files it does not work for me.
Please help me .
Hi,
In one of the machines, did you check the contents of the following file (for Windows) :
C:\ProgramData\OCS Inventory NG\Agent\OCSInventory.log
If the communication between stations and server is not good, you will have the information in this file.
In OCSReports, you can also check one of the following settings :
Configuration > Inventory > Frequency

Hi all.
Computer in Dynamic Group, STATICALLY EXCLUDED cannot come back to be DYNAMICALLY included
I'm newbie in OCS and I'd made a mistake that I don know how to undo.
I had a Dynamic Group of Computers. Below list there is a select with these options
I selected several Computer from list above and clicked Send
The result was this
Group ABC | Status: DYNAMICALLY INCLUDED | Include Exclude |
Group XYZ | Status: STATICALLY EXCLUDED | Include Reset |
Group 123 | Status: DYNAMICALLY INCLUDED | Include Exclude |
Reset gets this computer out from Group XYZ (completly removed from the group)
Include gets this computer in again, but Statically
Group XYZ | Status: STATICALLY INCLUDED | Get out of group |
I've came back to the original situation by overwriting group with the same criteria.
Is there a "correct" way to come back without reaplying the query?
Just include DYNAMICALLY the affected Computer?
Any way else to undo?

Since upgrading our OCS to v2.4, no agents are able to successfully send their inventories.
I am seeing errors in my /var/log/httpd/error_log as follows:

I have found the answer to our problem.
Even though I updated /etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-reports/dbconfig.inc.php and /etc/httpd/conf.d/z-ocsinventory-server.conf, we found that /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz-ocsinventory-restapi.conf also has to be updated.
It appears that the DB creds in /etc/httpd/conf.d/z-ocsinventory-server.conf get replaced by /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz-ocsinventory-restapi.conf, even though we're not using the API.
