I got a 2nd error. The 2.7.01 Agents deliver bullshit into the ocs db.

The count of know devices increases, bute the hostnames not shown in the device list.
That can be reproduced with the i-doit system, too.

Time of query na Software table (OCS ver. 2.8)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. It's nice to be able to tell you about my problem.

We're testing OCS Inventory in our enviroment. We're importing information about 20118 computers and 37920 softwares at the moment. But we're seeing a problem with displaying data about software. We're waiting 5 minutes on results of query "All Software" for 10 entries on a page. When we're changing page or number entries on a page we have to wait next 5 minutes. This problem doesn't exist when we're displaing data about computers.

Is someone had problem like this ?

Best Regards

Richard

IP Discover: Identified devices

Hi all

how can I make devices visible in the dashboard that are marked as "identified" after IP scan?

I have set a type (printer) and the description but it is only visible in the list Inventory->IP-Discover->Identified.

I also tried to set up an asset category to see it in the bottom of the dashboard but also there it is not visible:

I could not find out the problem reading the wiki. So hopefully you can help me. Thanks and best regards

Christopher

/var/lib/ocsinventory/reports/logs not writable

This problem has been discussed, but not answered some years ago.  Today i ran the update on the ocsreport server and it's now reporting back that /var/lib/ocsinventory-reports/logs is not writable.  SElinux is off, and the route to the directory is all either 777 permissions or owned by www-data:www-data so there's no reason at all for it to not be writable.   Also, to compound the issue, it doesn't seem to matter if I change the log directory to be /var/ocsreports/logs, it still reports back that /var/lib/ocsinventory-reports/logs is not writable.

Import inventory collected offline on the host

Good morning, how are you?

What settings should I adjust so that I can import an .ocs file generated by the agent installed on the computer, choosing the option when installing "local inventory"?

My server is configured in https, but I have already changed the configuration from http: // localhost: 80 / ocsinventory

for:

https: // localhost: 443 / ocsinventory

I'm currently using this:

https: // server-ip: 443 / ocsinventory

Error: Erro 0 / php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution

https: // localhost / ocsinventory

https: // server-ip / ocsinventory

But whenever I try to import I get different errors.

Do I need to adjust something in Apache?

When I use the script it works, see:

root @ ocsweb: ~ / scripts #

root @ ocsweb: ~ / scripts # perl ocsinventory-injector.pl -v -f /home/usuario/PCX-XX-2020-09-01-16-06-20.ocs --cafile / root / certificate / cacert. pem -u https: // IP-SERVER: 443 / ocsinventory

Loading /home/usuario/PCX-XX-2020-09-01-16-06-20.ocs...OK

root @ ocsweb: ~ / scripts #

Thank you.

OCS CVE - Computer still appears

Hello

After the implementation of the CVE function in the OCS server, I have a question

Some computers appear in "alert" in the "CVE computer" tab for different versions. (example with Adobe)

But when I update adobe to the latest version, the computer still looks as if there is a breach and a corresponding CVE.

I would like to know why they still appear and how can I mark them as "safe"?

Thank you very much in advance

hy, i did not understand what you mean .. can you please describe in other words what you want or ask ?

Hosts increase in dash, but not in the host list.

I observe strange behaviour of the reported inventories from some 2.8 Windows Agents.
Some works fine, some not... There is a growing difference between the known machines in dashbord and the realy known machine in the machine list...

I had found out, that some agents get ein html 200 and started to collect inventory data, but when they send it there will result in an html 500 error...

Example:

172.17.1.134 - - [12/Nov/2020:16:32:28 +0100] "POST /ocsinventory HTTP/1.1" 200 235 "-""OCS-NG_WINDOWS_AGENT_v2.7.0.1"
172.17.1.134 - - [12/Nov/2020:16:34:08 +0100] "POST /ocsinventory HTTP/1.1" 500 527 "-""OCS-NG_WINDOWS_AGENT_v2.7.0.1"
10.242.2.15 - - [12/Nov/2020:16:34:52 +0100] "POST /ocsinventory HTTP/1.1" 200 235 "-""OCS-NG_WINDOWS_AGENT_v2.8.0.0"
10.242.2.15 - - [12/Nov/2020:16:36:15 +0100] "POST /ocsinventory HTTP/1.1" 500 527 "-""OCS-NG_WINDOWS_AGENT_v2.8.0.0"

Agent-Log:  https://dpaste.org/hYWq

Everytime when in access_log a 500 appears, then this apears in error_log:

DBD::mysql::db do failed: Table 'ocs.softwares' doesn't exist at /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32/Apache/Ocsinventory/Server/Inventory/Cache.pm line 77.
DBD::mysql::db do failed: Table 'ocs.softwares' doesn't exist at /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32/Apache/Ocsinventory/Server/Inventory/Cache.pm line 79.
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Table 'ocs.softwares' doesn't exist at /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32/Apache/Ocsinventory/Server/Inventory/Update.pm line 108.

Database works well, the password(s) in config files set well, most other clients/agents can send inventory w/o problem...

How can I debug that and find out where the Data is lost???

sometime and or means really an and and vice versa in ocs-inventory

prhaps you can try some tricks with de morgan's law logic

inserting xml does not show software information

$

Ubuntu Server 18

PHP 7.1.17

Apache/2.4.27 (Ubuntu)

Hello team!

I tell you that I made an update from OCS 2.7 to 2.8 everything works perfectly.

When inserting .xml files to ocsinventory (Local Import) it displays the inventory well but

it does not show any software information.

When you manually insert a .ocs it does show the software information.

The point is that the only way I have to insert the files from another server that I had previously

It is via xml since as far as I know there is no way to export the .ocs file from the server, is there?

Thanks for your comments
