Deployment->Activate: WARNING: Can't find information file at https://[server-fqn]/download/[id]

For testing and documentation I install OCS Inventory NG 2.3.1 on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS.
Access with https is enabled, certificate match server fqn. I use a self signed certificate.
Deployment->Build seems to work. I can upload files and they are seen in the folder, I can also access the folder with https://[server-fqn]/download/[id]/

I check apache2 access.log/error.log and activity.log, but there are no errors reported.

Can someone help me to find out, what's wrong in my configuration? I spend already several hours, but without luck.

I also have a error when I click on the red marked button (perhaps it comes from the same issue?)

Bonjour,

j'ai le même problème pour les licences Office 2016 / O365.

Je pense que cela s'explique par le fait que le VBS fourni avec le plugin requiert une mise à jour pour intégrer ces 2 dernières versions.

En attendant une version à jour du plugin, il va falloir adapter le VBS soi-même ou s'en passer...

Hi,

It is entirely possible, by first retrieving the OCS server settings (in order not to have to reinstall / modify the agent parameters - IP / port / SSL certificate of the server).

If you are not familiar with this operation, I advise you to install your new server in a virtual machine and to regularly use snapshots.

Bonjour,

à ce jour le plugin "WinUsers" remonte la liste des utilisateurs locaux, activés ou non, administrateurs ou non, sans davantage de précisions (dans mon cas : Administrateur, ASPNET, Invité et Stephane > même si le compte "invité" est désactivé).

Ce pourrait être une belle évolution pour ce plugin d'aller un peu plus loin dans la remontée d'informations.

à ce jour, le plugin "WinUsers" remonte uniquement la liste de tous les utilisateurs locaux (activés ou non /administrateurs ou non) mais pas davantage d'informations.

J'ai cru comprendre que Frankb proposait de mettre ce plugin à jour prochainement... ;-)

Bonjour,

j'ai installé "uptime" (ainsi que d'autres plugins) sur mon serveur OCS (Debian 8.7 Jessie avec OCS 2.3.1) et je ne rencontre aucun problème de remontée d'infos en configuration multi-sites, avec des antivirus de versions / marques différentes.

Avez-vous installé d'autres plugins OCS de la même façon et fonctionnent-ils ? Avez-vous essayé de générer un XML en local sur la station et de vérifier si les infos concernant "Uptime" sont bien intégrées dedans ?

Hi,
to install a plugin, you have to upload your ZIP plugin to your OCS server and then install it through the administration interface.

Of course, for the feedback of your Windows clients, the adapted VBS script must be present in the PC to be inventoried.

Hi,

The installation of a package / script / or other from the OCS Inventory server is initiated when the client agent connects to the server.

As soon as the client agent connects to the OCS server, a package can be deployed this way (not otherwise).

In your case, there are several assumptions:

- Your client computer is turned off, standby, hibernate, or disconnected from the network
- The delay between 2 inventories is too long (it can be fixed in the OCS interface of the server)
- The connection configuration of the client to the server is not good (ip, port, missing certificate, etc.)

The solution: Connect to the client and force the execution of a new inventory of the machine, this will pass the status to "NOTIFIED" and will allow the installation of your package.

If necessary, check the correct communication between the client and the server by reading the log file of the client's ocsinventory directory.

I am currently working on a similar project, although I am not an expert on plugins for OCS Inventory.

The opinion that I can give you is to take the form of an operational plugin and whose characteristics are identical to yours (for example the plugin "uptime" - a unique data to be recovered and integrated into the database)...

> The mechanics (VBS, PHP and DB files) being of course specifically to adapt for your need.

Your question is ambiguous...

Adding OCS Inventory-supplied plugins, registry-specific keys, or any other server interface settings will allow you to customize the information reported by clients.

Bonjour,

Tout d'abord escusez moi, j'ai ouvert ce thread en pensant que ca le mettrais a la suite du mon précedent.

Je n'est installé que uptime pour le moment, et lorsque je génére l'inventaire en local, je n'ai rien en rapport avec l'uptime. Peut être dois-je faire une opération supplémentaire sur les clients?

I had the same problem after upgrade from 2.0.5 to 2.3.1, in my case problem was an issue database upgrade, check that in your new database table `download_available` has column `DELETED` if not then execute statement:

ALTER TABLE `download_available` ADD `DELETED` INT(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0' AFTER `ID_WK`;

this statment is in /...path../ocsreports/files/update/7011.sql, after that update new versions of packages are visible on the list.

OCS 2.3 - Which configuration file for ssl?

Hi,

i'm using ubuntu 16.04 and try to use deployment. Outdated documentation told to create a new vhost for ssl in apache 2. In z-ocsinventory-server.conf I found following params, what is better to use? z-ocsinventory-server.conf or new vhost?

  #SSL apache settings
  #SSLEngine "SSL_ENABLE"
  #SSLCertificateFile "SSL_CERTIFICATE_FILE"
  #SSLCertificateKeyFile "SSL_CERTIFICATE_KEY_FILE"

Problem after deployment OCS Server - no login page - probably problem with CGI settings

Hi,

I have a problem after installing OCS server. Everything goes ok untill setup tells me that i can browse to my http://server-ip/ocsreports/.

Instead of login page i am getting index.php site with:
