agents >2.3.1.1 give a 400 226 error on server 2.6

I have server version 2.6, but windows agent 2.4 and greater cannot post an inventory, and get  400 226 error which suggest they thing the server is still > 2.4

Hello,

As I didn't manage to find the information from the OCS Inventory web site, I would have some queries :

  • Which last version of OCS Inventory Server is currently available?
  • What are the Operating Systems where OCS Inventory Server can be installed?
  • What is the current last version of Windows OCS agent?
  • What is the current last version of Unix/Linux OCS agent?
  • Can we download all those versions from OCS Inventory web site?
  • Do you know where I could find all those informations?

Groupe de logiciel ne fonctionne pas

Bonjour,

Lorsque je fais un groupe de logiciels (logiciel soumis a licences par ex), après avoir ajouté les logiciels voulu dans le groupe, lorsque je consulte le groupe dans le menu de consultation, la catégorie apparait corrrectement mais aucun résultat n'est retourné dedans alors que des postes ont bien les logiciels installés.

J'ai la version Server 2.6 Nightly d'aujourd'hui sous Debian 9, mes clients sont sous la version 2.4.0.0

duplicate page blank

when i click on the "Duplicate" menu to view all the duplicate computers, i'm getting just blank page. How can i resolve this.

The usage of OCS 2.6 RC with GLPI 9.7

Hi, 

In our organization, all assets in which the OCS is installed -although there is no change in RAM, mainboard, user name, operating system, additional hardware, etc.- shown in OCS interface every day (or each time it is opened). This is a good thing, no problem. But, we also see the all records in the GLPI interface. And as an IT department, we want to track all of our business through GLPI and follow the assets through GLPI.

Problem: There are almost 1000 staff in the organization and we see OCS records thousands of times every day. 99% of them do not change. It is very difficult to extract the asset which have some changes that are in the 1% section among others.

Question: Are we able to ensure that -only assets that are changed- are shown on the GLPI?

OCS file creation for synchronisation OCS servers

Good afternoon,

OCS server release : 2.6

OCS Agent Release : OCS-NG_unified_unix_agent_v2.1.1

OCS Server OS : CentOS 7.6

I have configured the httpd virtual host z-ocsinventory-server.conf as explained in the wiki document (https://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/#multi-site-network-architecture) :

OCS_OPT_OPTIONS_NOT_OVERLOADED 1

OCS_OPT_GENERATE_OCS_FILES 1

OCS_OPT_OCS_FILES_FORMAT OCS

OCS_OPT_OCS_FILES_OVERWRITE 0

OCS_OPT_OCS_FILES_PATH /tmp

tmp directory is writable

I run the ocsinventory agent on the client (OS: CentOS 7.3) and:

-I may see on the server web console the updated info

-No file has been created in the server /tmp directory to be injected in th either OCS server available

I have re-done the same test using the GUI parameters (changing to 0 OCS_OPT_OPTIONS_NOT_OVERLOADED and restarting http process) but I have the same result.

May , please , someone suggest me if I have miss some steps or settings or if I have done any mistakes.

which version of the server do you use? and which agent?

What do you mean with wrong - can you please explain in detail . Do you know exactly that you have for example 100 vlc-player software entrys - and the counter only show 98 ?

I ask you this because in old agent version (2.05) the software which is reported is depending on a timeout value in the client. The timeout was too short, so it can happen that sometimes not all software is reported everytime the agent contacts the server.

You can run a command on a machine. If you can uninstall the software via command line you can also uninstall it with OCS.

Error certificate - SNMP doesn't work

Hello, 

I want to configure the SNMP but when create my certificat I see errors in my file

I have errors in my file : /var/log/apache2/error.log 

ocsinventory-server: Can't load SOAP::Transport::HTTP* - Web service will 
be unavailable

servername:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an 
ID which matches the server name

 Whith ocsinventory-agent --force --logfile=/tmp/agent.log

[error] Cannot establish communication : 301 Moved Permanently

plugins on ocs server 2.6 install problem

Hello
All plugins in the new version for ocs server 2.6 do not want to work - they do not write information on the server (everything generates correctly locally).
I noticed that there are no folders with plugins in the path at all /etc/ocsinventory-server/plugins and /etc/ocsinventory-server/perl/Apache/Ocsinventory/Plugins

Any hints on how to install plugins in the new version for server 2.6?I did everything according to the instructions:

hy, you just have to launch a batch script which has the correct command to silently install or uninstall the program. The silent install / uninstall parameters are differnet for each program.

Juist search for silent installation + program name

Install Gimp

start /wait gimp-2.8.22-setup.exe /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-

uninstall Gimp

"C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\uninst\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT

i normaly create a batch file  like install.cmd (which ist just a textfile with .cmd extension) with the complete install command.

Hi,

You can also make a batch to remove appx with wmic command

wmic
product where name="Software_Name" call uninstall /nointeractive
